I'd like to setup notification services for events on my plone site, but Quinta does not provide a relay server for email. How can we setup notifications? Any help would be great.

 

To start off we want to have notifications for adding documents and then modifications to them. Perhaps later we will install ploneboard and we would want notifications from the forums.

Hi,

first of all be careful with CMFNotification it known to not work properly in most recent Plone versions. You have MailHost already set up in your Plone instance it is pointing to "localhost" as mail server and it is up and working. With mass notifications you would need MailDropHost installed to prevent server overload.
